Gregory's practice covers all aspects of administrative law including judicial review and statutory challenges, town planning, compulsory purchase, environmental law, EU law and public procurement, education, local government, administrative law. Regularly appearing in both public inquiries and the higher courts, Gregory acts on behalf of developers, local planning authorities and third parties.
Gregory is recommended as a leading silk in five separate categories in the Legal 500 (2011/12): planning, environmental, education, European Union & Competition law and administrative & public law
Short listed as environmental and planning junior barrister of the year (Chambers & Partners 2010) Gregory is rated as a leading planning silk in the RTPI's Annual Survey of Planning Practitioners: "Jones is regarded as very client-focused and quick on his feet".
Prior to taking silk earlier this year, Gregory was rated as a leading junior in planning, local government, environmental and education law in Chambers & Partners Directory, describing him as "particularly impressive in court" clearly demonstrating "a shining ability" and "an Environmental Impact Assessment star". He was rated as a top junior by The Lawyer survey of the Administrative Law Bar which noted that he is "instructed in heavy weight planning and environmental judicial reviews." Chambers and Partners 2011 regarded him as "one of the best juniors to be found at both the Planning and Environment Bars".
