Academic Panel
The Chambers of Andrew Tait QC at Francis Taylor Building has an academic panel, which broadens and deepen the set's core expertise in environmental, planning and public law.
The members of the panel are (please click on the panel's names to view their fuller profile):
- Professor Michael Purdue of City Law School, City University, is a leading expert in the Law of Town and Country Planning.
- Dr Aine Ryall, Lecturer at University College, Cork, a leading expert in environmental law.
- Dr William R. Sheate, Reader in Environmental Sciences at Imperial College, London; Bill is a leading expert in Environmental Impact Appraisal techniques and has a distinguished record with the European Commission
- Professor Maria Lee, Professor of Law at UniversityCollege London. Maria isa leading scholar in not only environmental law, where she specialises in the role of civil liability in environmental regulation and protection, but also in tort law, including private nuisance.
- Nicholas Hatzis, Research Fellow at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.
Commenting on the panel's creation, Robin Purchas QC said:
‘Depth of expertise is especially valued by our clients. The panel enables us to foster closer links with the academic world, and to exchange ideas on developments of interest in our particular spheres of expertise. Members of the panel provide an added dimension to the services we are able to offer clients and have already made a number of contributions as part of our expanding seminar programme.'
