The Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot
Hosted by FTB and sponsored by the Solicitor's Journal, the inaugural FTB Kingsland Cup Public Law mooting competition opened to teams of undergraduate, GDL and BPTC students in November 2011.
With moots covering European, Environmental and Public law, the competition takes place over three rounds.
The first round, which saw 32 different teams judged on their skeleton arguments, has now closed.
The winning teams were:
Alexandra Pardal and Jessica Van der Meer, of City University
Yaaser Vanderman and Andrew Watson, of the Kaplan Law School
Martin Jones and Ben Katz, also of City University
Frances Aldson and David Peter, of College of Law and City Law School
These teams go through to the semi-final, which is to be held at FTB on 30 January 2012. Sir Keith Lindblom has been confirmed as one of the judges.

The two highest scoring teams at the semi-final will go through to the Grand Final, which is being held at the Supreme Court on 12 March 2012. There, finalists will be put to the test by Justice of the Supreme Court, Lord Brown of Eaton-under-Heywood.
Prizes will be awarded to both the runners up and overall winners.
