Juan advises on a wealth of regulatory crime prosecutions and civil sanction proceedings and has particular expertise in the areas of food safety and hygiene (including emergency prohibition notices and compensation implications, rodent infestation, premises proofing and food poisoning), noise, health & safety and trading standards.

Juan is also a contributing author to Phillips & Norris, The Law of Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions (OUP, 2011).

Jordon Enterprises (UK) Limited v Essex County Council [2011]: food contamination and food labelling.

Health & Safety Executive v Surya [2011]: provision of safe system of work for the movement of fork lift trucks on commercial premises under section 33(1)(a) Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea v Adil Catering Ltd [2010]: opposing application for hygiene emergency prohibition order in respect of fast-food premises under The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006.
