DAVID GRAHAM JOINS FTB

FTB is delighted to be able to announce that David Graham has accepted our invitation to join Chambers.  He joined us as a tenant on 5th January 2012, after successfully completing a wide-ranging pupillage with Gregory Jones QC, Philip Petchey and Hereward Phillpot.

During his pupillage, David has undertaken work in planning and environmental matters including public, private and statutory nuisance.  David has particular interest and expertise in relation to the requirements of the Habitats Directive, environmental impact assessment, and the law of public open spaces. He has been instructed on his own account in town and village green matters including a five-day public inquiry.

David is keen to develop a broad public law practice, building on his experience during pupillage which included education, unlawful detention, road traffic regulation, local government finance and public procurement matters.  As junior to Gregory Jones QC, David successfully represented Network Rail in High Court judicial review proceedings (R(Argos) v Birmingham City Council and Network Rail [2011] EWHC 2639).

David has regularly appeared in the County Courts in relation to tortious and contractual disputes, and has advised on property law including easements, covenants, forfeiture from tenancy, trusts and tracing of assets.

If you would like to instruct David or wish to discuss his experience, availability or fees please do give me a call or send me an email: paul.coveney@ftb.eu.com
