HOUSING SUCCESS IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE

 Following the dismissal by the Secretary of State of an earlier appeal against the refusal of Forest of Dean District Council, an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State has granted planning permission on the appeal by Robert Hitchens Limited of a duplicate application for 750 dwellings on the Lydney B site following a 5 day public inquiry and in spite of determined local opposition.  On this occasion the Appellant was represented by Andrew Kelly QC.
