FTB REMAINS AS THE ONLY TOP PLANNING, ENVIRONMENTAL AND LICENSING SET IN CHAMBERS & PARTNERS

FTB is delighted to see that we have retained and improved our positions in the rankings in the Chambers & Partners 2009/2010 edition in the major fields of planning, environmental and licensing.  We are the only set to achieve this hat-trick; which reinforces that one of Chambers' strengths is our ability to provide what is effectively a ‘one-stop-shop' for those promoting complex and controversial developments.  We also show strongly in administrative and public law, local government, energy and health & safety and had four new individual barrister entries.

Comments from the directory include:

Environmental Law: ‘Supported by "excellent clerking," Francis Taylor Building is brimming with ability, talent and skill. It boasts expertise in planning, environment and local government matters, and clients applaud the set for the "very thorough, very intelligent, very accessible and politically aware" advice it provides on the full range of environmental issues.'

Licensing Law: ‘In common with the rest of the Licensing Bar, Francis Taylor Building is concentrating on an ever-increasing amount of the more complex licensing work as solicitors take on the more straightforward matters themselves. Commentators agree that it does so with some aplomb.'

Planning Law:It is clear to see why this impressive set remains so popular with its clients: according to source feedback, it is "just brilliant - very friendly, very knowledgeable and of a consistently high quality." The staffing is singled out as a particularly strong feature here, with commentators remarking: "There is a great selection of people, all with a wide range of skills. Everyone here is thorough, intelligent and accessible, with a real understanding of what the clients need."'
