FRANCIS TAYLOR BUILDING WELCOME DENIS EDWARDS TO JOIN THE SET
We are delighted to announce that Denis Edwards has joined Chambers from Hardwicke Building.
Denis has been in independent practice as a barrister since April 2003. He practices in Public Law, including local government law, education law and community care law; EU law; and employment law.
He has represented both claimants and defendants, including both central and local government, and appeared in courts and tribunals at all levels, including the House of Lords, Court of Appeal, High Court, Upper Tribunal, First Tier Tribunal and Employment Tribunal.
Praise for him in legal directories include the education law section of the 2009 edition of Chambers & Partners 2009 edition, which said: ‘Market praise was forthcoming for the "measured and effective" Denis Edwards, whose "immense attention to detail" contributes to his provision of an "extremely good service". The 2008 edition: ‘Denis Edwards "really knows his stuff", agree peers. He practices public law and has a particular focus on education law, local government, community care and discrimination law.'
Before coming to the Bar, Denis taught law for 10 years, including at the University of Strathclyde, Tulane Law School (USA), City University of Hong Kong and City University.
