CHARLES MYNORS ELECTED TO FELLOWSHIP OF THE RICS
Charles Mynors was today elected to the class of Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
In addition to his work as an advocate and advisor, he has written a number of leading text books, including:
- Planning Applications and Appeals (1987)
- Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas and Monuments (1989;
- The Law of Trees, Forests and Hedgerows (2002)
His next book, The Control of Outdoor Advertising and Graffiti, is due to be published by Shaw and Sons in February 2009; and a second edition of Trees in early 2010.
He has also written over 100 articles in various professional journals, and is a regular speaker at conferences all over the UK. He is on the Estates Committee of his Inn (the Middle Temple).
The award of fellowship of the RICS is given in recognition of dedication, experience and achievements. It is a time honoured position, and the list of Fellows includes some of the world's leading property professionals.
Charles is also a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), and a founder member of the Institute of Historic Buildings Conservation (IHBC).
